According to Statesville (N.C.) South Iredell head coach Scott Miller, Quataye Smyre verbally committed to East Carolina on Tuesday afternoon.

East Carolina was Smyre's lone scholarship offer, but the 5-foot-10, 160-pound athlete was also receiving interest from Auburn, Clemson, North Carolina, and NC State.
