Latter down to two

Latter down to two

Jalen Latter is one of the most underrated 2013 prospects in North Carolina. The Charlotte (N.C.) Vance cornerback is down to two schools.

Jalen Latter is down to two schools and will likely make his college decision in the next couple of days.

"I'm still considering Wake Forest and the Naval Academy – that's it," said Latter. "I would say Wake Forest is my leader right now. I'll probably make my decision after this weekend – most likely Sunday."

The 6-foot, 185-pound Latter took his official visit to Navy last weekend and will be at Wake Forest this weekend.

Latter said his trip to Navy was a good one.

"I enjoyed my trip to Navy," said Latter. "I think my favorite part was just riding around and seeing the city. The coaches told me that they really like me and they wanted to know my decision. But I told them I would make it after my trip this weekend."

He is looking forward to his trip to Wake Forest and is ready to see the campus. Latter also said he is ready to be around the players and coaches.

"On the visit, I just want to see if I have good chemistry with the players and coaches," he said.

Latter played quarterback for Vance as a senior. He threw for over 1,600 yards and 16 touchdowns. Latter also ran for close to 400 yards and six touchdowns.
