“I had 40 receptions for 520 yards and 8 touchdowns,” commented Scott, who was chosen as the alternate receiver for the Star Shrine Bowl. “I think this was a great year considering our team doesn’t really get the chance to throw a lot. Also, college coaches were pretty impressed with my season and how I came back from my injury.”
Scott has a scholarship offer from Louisville, and has caught the eye of several other Division 1 powerhouses in the ACC.
“My top five are Wake Forest, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Clemson and I like Tennessee,” confirmed the 6’3 200 pound star receiver. “I was leaning toward Wake Forest, but after finishing my senior season and getting my tape out, I’ve started getting a lot of attention from other schools that I really like. I’m actually going to take my officials, and I plan to commit a couple of weeks before signing day.”
He has an official scheduled with Louisville for January 14, and plans to schedule the others soon.
And with stats like Scott’s, why wouldn’t these schools be interested?
“I’m a very speedy receiver with good size,” explained Long. “I run a 4.4 forty. I have good hands. I can catch the ball across the middle or down field. I’m also very physical at the line. I also have a 37.5 inch vertical and just maxed out on bench press at 325.”
