New Location for Elite 8 Combine

The Elite Eight Combine returns for its fifth season, but will be moved to South Central High School in Winterville.

The combine will be held on March 15th and is open to all grades. Weigh-in begins at 9 am and the actual combine will begin at 10:30.

This is a combine to get football players accustomed to the tests that will be used in the Shrine Bowl Combines, which will be held in April.

The athletes will be separated into eight weight classes and will compete against other athletes in those classes. There will be three trophies given in each weight class, based on the each athlete’s total points gained from the four skill tests.

Athletes will be tested with 185 lbs. on the bench press doing it as many times as they can. They will also be tested on the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, and the 20 yard pro agility shuttle during the speed and agility segment.
